by Wendy Lloyd - Wednesday, 19 October 2016, 9:43 AM

Now that verification forms have been returned and email addresses have been updated, we are ready to activate the parent portal feature in MyEd BC.  Parents will receive an email from MyEd BC in the next day or two that will let them know their username and password.  There are links, videos, and documents available on the school website to support parents in their use of the portal.   You can watch a youtube tutorial video at https://youtu.b/ZmvA0FqrWEUAdditionally, there are supporting documents on the SD73 MyEducation Page for parents at

Parents are also able to log in by going to the SD73 home page and clicking on the MyEd BC link at the bottom of the screen.

Please feel free to drop by the computer lab during parent/teacher interviews on Thursday, October 20th for further assistance from Mrs. Lloyd.

Logan Lake Elementary/Secondary School and School District 73 want o hear your thoughts about supporting our students in the future
by Wendy Lloyd - Tuesday, 18 October 2016, 7:33 AM

    Dear Parents,

With the new school year underway, students are busy. As we support them during this school year, we also want to take some time to think and plan for the future. In order to create the best vision and plan for
our District, we want to hear your thoughts.

Next week, we will be launching a virtual conversation using a tool called Thoughtexchange. We want to understand your thoughts on how we can support and prepare our students for the future and how we are doing as a District. There will also be space in the conversation for thoughts about our new school calendar, so please let us know the needs of your child and family.

You will receive an invitation from each school your children attend and you can sign-up here ahead of time to ensure you receive an opportunity to take part:

Thank you for taking the time to help us best support our students.

Parent Teacher Interviews Oct. 20th/Parent Portal training
by Wendy Lloyd - Tuesday, 4 October 2016, 2:09 PM

Our first parent teacher interviews will take place on Thursday, October 20th from 1:30 -3:30 and from 4:00 - 5:30.  This is a wonderful opportunity for you to re-connect with previous teachers and to meet staff members who are new to LLSS this fall.  Students will be dismissed at 12:51, and then parents are welcome to meet with teachers in classrooms to discuss their childrens' progress.  This year, some teachers will be inviting parents to meet with them at a specific time which is a change from the drop-in format that we used last year.  If you would like to meet with a specific teacher, please contact them directly via phone or email to enquire if a definitive interview time is required.

Mrs. Lloyd will be available during interviews to meet with parents who would like training on how to use the MyEd BC Parent Portals to track student progress.  She will be hanging out in the computer lab for any parents who have questions about the portal system.
